Don't know who to bug about it,so, asking you kind freebsd users. I need to make a distibuted web based mail system with traffic load control. What i do not uderstand is how to control trafic. Let's say I have N SMTP servers and M WEB SERVERS. When a user connect to web server the system must check which of the servers is less loaded and connect the user to that server. Also, when SMTP or POP user connects it also must patch the user to the least load server. The mail and personal data directories re shared via network filesystem. I know that this kind of traffic control has been made hundreds of time, but it seems that i missed it and have no idea how it is done. Help me out with this, please. The servers are FreeBSD 3.1 Artem Koutchine (Артем Кучин) Sys/Net/Web Admin, Web Designer, Programmer WWW: http://idesign.pp.ru E-Mail: matrix@chat.ru No attachments w/o my permission!!!
