https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D257479 Bug ID: 257479 Summary: graphics/pecl-imagick and -im7 why? Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: de-freebsd@ctseuro.com CC: 000.fbsd@quip.cz CC: 000.fbsd@quip.cz Flags: maintainer-feedback?(000.fbsd@quip.cz) Is there a strong reason why there are 2 ports instead of jsut one with a k= nob to select the desired ImageMagick version (or better it just uses the defau= lt ImageMagick port)? Following situation: I need to install ImageMagick-7 AND www/nextcloud on the same host. The nextcloud port depends on graphics/pecl-imagick which depends on ImageMagic= k-6 (hardcoded). This is kind of a chicken-egg problem. Can't we have only graphics/pecl-imagick that just uses the default ImageMa= gick version, like most other ports using ImageMagick do? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
