cvsup your port tree, and do a make install in ports/print/cups I just inst=
alled and configured CUPS last Saturday and I was able to print to both of =
my USB printers. I also installed gimp-print as one of the printers wasn't =
supported in ghostview-gnu. =20

also, in #2, looks like you don't have permission to write to the device as=
 a regular user, try printing as root. you probably want to give write perm=
ission to at least the group and add the users who wants to print in that g=
roup.=20
