As the month and a half was passed from my initial submission of
the original PR, maybe someone can commit my modifications?

I understand that it is largely up to the port maintainer to decide
if the commit will go into the ports system. All I can say is that

- the fixed port is working for me for month and a half and I am
using CFEngine to maintain about 100 hosts,

- I am ready to take the maintainership for the port (of course,
if no one objects), since I am invested much into our local
CFEngine infrastructure and likely will continue to work with it.
