Hello, I've recently rediscovered the joy of Doom (yes, work *is* slow). My only complaint is, I have to exit X and restart in 8-bit depth to play. I know you can't dynamically change color depth in X. Can you somehow run an app expecting only 8-bit depth in a 32-bit display? Doom and the SimCity demo both require 8 bit displays.
