Are you using powerd?  Maybe the laptop is just "bored" and powerd scales d=
own=20
frequency too aggressive?

I see it too, but only when the laptop is sitting idle for a while and powe=
rd=20
scaled down to 75Mhz.  You can try to put some load on it (e.g. yes(1)) and=
=20
see if that improves things.
