Just a quick note to the list. I have a SunFire v1280 currently running OpenBSD 4.6 (sparc64). Most BSD's (except Solaris) lack the prtconf command. However, OpenBSD supports "eeprom" which can do essentially the same thing via `eeprom -p` rather than `prtconf -pPv`. Thought this might be helpful to others trying to gather that info. Have a look at OpenBSD's man page for eeprom(8) for additional info. Here's a link to a list (not sure how current this is since it appears to be from 2005) of systems known to support prtconf and those missing it: http://www.math.utah.edu/~beebe/unix/p/prtconf.html -- Erich M.
