I was going to do this earlier. Something strange is happening on your system. I have looked at my "logged buildworlds" and they are not doing what you are seeing. Make is not finding libz.so and has decided to do something. I am not sure if you could cd in and do and make and make install and fix it. Some times it is that simple. What system are you running (uname -a) and what are your cvsuping?
