Should localhost have a domain associated with it? I wouldn't think so. Even on "real", full-IP/DNS-membership machines this doesn't seem right. Eg, my machine at work is annwn.phys.washington.edu = 128.95.93.180, on it, should it have localhost.phys.washington.edu = 127.0.0.1? Why does ".phys.washington.edu" have _anything_ to do with it?
