As I've noted I'm running FreeBSD burp.bogstomp.org 7.1-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 7.1-PRERELEASE #4: Mon Sep 8 16:11:35 EDT 2008 root@burp.bogstomp.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/BURP i386 /dev/uscanner0 is not being created on my installation. From the manpages (excepting those that were modified) sane appears to not want uscanner as it is presently configured to use usblib which uses ugen*. Ugen* can't see the scanner with uscanner in the kernel or loaded as a module on my installation. cheers. -- first step to autoholic recovery: realising the 3000 lb gorilla on your back does not become you. http://www.autoholics.org/programme.php
