According to amr(4), this controller should be supported. Unfortunately the 5.4 Install CD does not recognize the raid controller. Loading amr before booting does not help (results in the error message seen in the dmesg below). When booting normally, the amr module is not loaded. Now I have the following questions: Is this version of the Intel Controller not supported? If this is the case, is there a simple solution to get it recognized? (a quick glance at the amr code was not enough to enlighten me) Is there an easy way to setup gmirror with the install CD in case the controller does not work? (even when loaded the geom_mirror module, the gmirror tool does not know about the 'label' command) thanks Stefan dmesg: Copyright (c) 1992-2005 The FreeBSD Project.
