During the boot process they are properly mounted, but on system shutdown ("shutdown -h now") the sync fails and some file systems are not unmounted. May I have to umount the ext2fs myself before shutting down the system? BTW. is "shutdown -h now" a proper way to halt the system? And is there a standard script, which is being executed on shutdown? I'm familiar with SVR4 and I really miss the SVR4 boot and shutdown with it's runlevel management. Thanx. Bjorn.
