Therefore, I do not have, for instance, /usr/ports/japanese. In times past, when I want portversion to report correctly, I used to run portsdb -Uu to update the indices with the latest port versions. Recently, sommeone changed something somewhere so that portsdb -Uu no longer works. Instead of ignoring missing language ports like it used to, it now aborts on the first missing port and stops: # portsdb -Uu Updating the ports index ... Generating INDEX.tmp - please wait..tkscanfax-1.02: "/usr/ports/japanese/tk80" non-existent -- dependency list incomplete ===> comms/tkscanfax failed *** Error code 1 1 error ******************************************************************** Before reporting this error, verify that you are running a supported version of FreeBSD (see http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/) and that you have a complete and up-to-date ports collection (INDEX builds are not supported with partial or out-of-date ports collections).
