Just wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads what these messages are trying to say; is this disk just about dead? I dropped it once, and it used to not respond to anything [check condition for anything you sent it], but today when I plugged it in it was working well enough for me to recover some data that hadn't been backed up. Now I'm trying to repartition and newfs it, but am being slowed down by the appended. For software, it's -current from 9/22. Thanks for any insight, -Ted Sep 24 22:11:02 tbuswell /kernel: ahc0: <Adaptec aic7880 Ultra SCSI adapter> rev 0x00 int a irq 19 on pci0.6.0 Sep 24 22:11:02 tbuswell /kernel: ahc0: Illegal cable configuration!!.
