Creating the file won't help with an invalid facility ``squid''.  Valid
facilities are:

        auth, authpriv, cron, daemon, ftp, kern, lpr, mail, mark, news,
        ntp, syslog, user, uucp, security and local0-7

This is discussed in the syslog.conf(5) manual page.
