I'd forget it.  It takes a couple of hundred megs of disk space, at a
minimum, and you need to be rather intimiately aquainted with the
workings of /usr/src/release/Makefile to even contemplate substituting
another kernel in.

If you're really keen on doing this then I suggest reading the above
VERY VERY thoroughly.
