I thought I'd read somewhere last year that 2.2 (-current at the time)
had thread support in the kernel, such that a Pthread would use a kernel 
thread.

package is still a user mode implementation.

Is this correct ? Are there plans for a native kernel threads at some 
time (I'm not talking about the kernel itself being threaded).
