https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D231875 Bug ID: 231875 Summary: x11/gdm does not start with nvidia driver as of 11/30/2018 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: arm64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Reporter: mvharding@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gnome@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Attachment #197708 text/plain mime type: Created attachment 197708 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D197708&action= =3Dedit /var/log/gdm greeter log file. I'm running 11.2 x64 with a Nvidia 1050 Ti graphics card, and have my own Poudriere cluster. For the most part, this has worked very well, I have be= en running this basic setup for years without an issue save one issue with a particular issue of the Nvidia driver. As of 9/30, with the nvidia driver installed, gdm no longer launches gnome3 as apparently the ghome shell does= not launch because of Clutter failing to intialize. I've enclosed a copy of the gdm greeter log file. I am not sure exactly what change triggered the issue, x11/nvidia-driver an= d a bunch of other, I think Gnome3, ports changed around the same time. I've switched to 'mate' using 'slim' to launch it as a workaround for now, = and this seems to work fine. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
