In 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 vi displayed ISO characters correctly, but this fails in 2.2.5. In fact, the setting of the LANG environment variable was not needed in 2.2.1 and 2.2.2. I have just set LANG=es_ES.ISO_8859-1, and now vi displays messages in Spanish, but ISO chars sre still displayed in hex. --JM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Jose M.
