Hi, I updated my kernel to that of 4.4-RC1 after 'make buildworld'. I updated source tree with cvsup just before Sun Aug 19 18:57:17 JST 2001. When I reboot my PC, new kernel boots up with old /boot/loader but after the message, Waiting 15 seconds for SCSI devices to settle it never continue. I waited more than 60 seconds. What happened? Old kernel of FreeBSD 4.4-PRERELEASE #22: Mon Aug 13 09:26:30 JST 2001 works well. It detects all SCSI disks as ahc0: <Adaptec 2940 Ultra SCSI adapter> port 0xc800-0xc8ff mem 0xdd000000-0xdd000fff irq 11 at device 9.0 on pci0 da0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0 da0: <QUANTUM TRB850S 0405> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device da0: 10.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 8) da0: 810MB (1660299 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 810C) da1 at ahc0 bus 0 target 3 lun 0 da1: <SEAGATE ST34520LW 1483> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device da1: 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit), Tagged Queueing Enabled da1: 4340MB (8888924 512 byte sectors: 255H 63S/T 553C) da2 at ahc0 bus 0 target 6 lun 0 da2: <IBM DPSS-318350N S96H> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-3 device da2: 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit), Tagged Queueing Enabled da2: 17501MB (35843670 512 byte sectors: 255H 63S/T 2231C) The boot disk is da0 which contains / partition.
