DragonFlyBSD has the module http://leaf.dragonflybsd.org/cgi/web-man?command=acpi_thinkpad§ion=4 acpi_thinkpad , I am not sure if it is new enough or if it works with my ideapad y570. intel driver is cool to have, I wish I could use nvidia driver though.
