I should have mentioned that I am using FreeBSD/amd64 (so I can't use 
the i386 fglrx driver). In addition, I would prefer to reduce the amount 
of binary-only stuff (and focus my testing on getting the open-source 
stuff working).

So, no I haven't.... but if they were available for amd64, I probably 
would give it a try at this point, though I would still want to try 
getting the open-source driver working.
