I see this is a regression caused by the switch to udev.

I personally use the synaptic driver I think, but it's not very important s=
ince
I hate touchpads(and touchscreens too) and always have a wired mouse with m=
e (I
also have little sympathy for wireless mice), so I really would never notice
such an issue.

I'm not in the situation to code this myself, and can't make promises about
this.

This could be escalated upstream as a feature request for the xfce people.
Maybe with knowledge of how the setting applet works it is not a difficult
thing to setup.

Would you mind filing a feature request in xfce bugzilla?
