Anyone using AHA-3985 and linux-2.2.x ? We are still using kernel 2.0.33 and 9 wide disks (3 each channel), but like to move to linux-2.2.x. We have tried many kernels since 2.0.33 (last was 2.2.12) but had no luck. The system locks up short after starting runlevel 3, some disks are busy and no login or soft reboot is possible. cat /proc/scsi/aic7xxx/0 Adaptec AIC7xxx driver version: 4.1.1/3.2.1 Compile Options: AIC7XXX_RESET_DELAY : 15 AIC7XXX_TAGGED_QUEUEING: Enabled AIC7XXX_PAGE_ENABLE : Enabled AIC7XXX_PROC_STATS : Disabled Adapter Configuration: SCSI Adapter: Adaptec AHA-398X SCSI host adapter (AIC-787x chipset) Host Bus: Wide Base IO: 0xf000 Base IO Memory: 0xfd201000 IRQ: 10 SCBs: Used 24, HW 16, Page 255 Interrupts: 797460 Serial EEPROM: True Extended Translation: Enabled SCSI Bus Reset: Enabled Ultra SCSI: Disabled Disconnect Enable Flags: 0xffff o------------------------------------------------o Ulrich Leodolter University of Vienna, Institute of Psychology Email: ulrich@lab1.psy.univie.ac.at Tel: +43-4277-47858 o------------------------------------------------o To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe aic7xxx" in the body of the message
