When ppp connects after it's been running for a number of days, I get this error near the end of the log: 09-19 05:42:01 [14689] myaddr = 206.11.194.29 hisaddr = 206.11.195.250 socket: Too many open files 09-19 05:42:01 [14689] OsLinkup: 206.11.195.250 can't open /etc/ppp/ppp.linkup. can't open /etc/ppp/ppp.linkup. can't open /etc/ppp/ppp.linkup. 09-19 05:42:01 [14689] LCP: Received Protocol Reject (3) state = Opend (9) 09-19 05:42:01 [14689] -- Protocol (80fd) was rejected. 09-19 05:42:01 [14689] CCP: LayerFinish. 09-19 05:42:01 [14689] CCP: state change Req-Sent --> Stopped It doesn't affect my connection. Is there a way to prevent getting the ``socket:too many open files'' error? -- John D.
