Are you saying that your rxvt's don't seem to emulate VT100, or that rxvt wasn't/isn't installed on your FreeBSD machine? One other thing that might be happening is that the TERM environment variable may be set incorrectly, perhaps try doing a "setenv TERM v100" (if you're using csh/tcsh) before using seyon.
