Can you please provide the outputs of ifconfig and sysctl > from when the system is in the problem state, when the link doesn't come up? This is from when it's in the problem state. According to ifconfig there is link and everything looks fine to me, but it doesn't seem to pass any traffic through the interface at all. -- Marius Halden
