I did same testing:

1st test:

Everything on one partition /usr on the fast drive:

	make -j builworld takes 52:21

2nd test:

/usr/src on the fast drive, /usr/obj on the slower drive:

	make -j builworld takes 49:46

Both with softupdates of course.
