Shared folders always worked perfectly for me with all versions of VBox
I used so far with FBSD as a host.

Forgive me for hijacking the thread but there were 3 patches specific
for FBSD, published by Ed Maste <emaste@freebsd.org> on VBox-dev list
that were committed by Alexander Eichner. They are:

[vbox-dev] [PATCH] Implement media state for host-only interface
[vbox-dev] [PATCH] Make FreeBSD build with SUPDRV_WITH_RELEASE_LOGGER
[vbox-dev] [PATCH] Correct comment - this file is for FreeBSD.

Bernhard, any chance of getting those inside the 4.2 port?
