I installed the IA64 DP2 on a 4-processor Lion machine with mixed results. The biggest annoyance is that there isn't a gdb installed so tracking down problems is a much bigger pain. Is there a reason gdb isn't getting built? Does anyone have a working gdb? The kernel has a tendency to panic (during the install and otherwise). The install hung several times during partitioning, and would not allow me to delete the EFI partition once I had created it. I also had an issue with not having device nodes for the filesystems (that went away after wiping the disk again and trying again). I don't have most of my notes here, but I do know that nfsiod caused a kernel unaligned reference panic under load (0xe...620e80) and sshd fails and prints "fatal: fatal_remove_cleanup: no such cleanup function: 0x6...4003ccc8 0x0" Thanks, Kevin To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ia64" in the body of the message
