I have RH 6 with 2.2.5-22 kernel. I boot from IDE drives and am trying to incorporate a scsi sysquest removable drive. The sd_mod and scsi_mod drivers load but I can't get the aic7xxx driver to load. I have scsi support as modules. The scsi card shows up in the /pro/pci file. If I try an insmod aci7xxx I get device or resource busy. I dl'd some new install images last eve from redhat that made reference to a bug in the aic7xxx driver. I tried an upgrade and it tickled the scsi drive but I could not get past the part where to put the bootloader. The install program reported an unspecified error and would not let me do anything else but exit. SO close but so far. Any help appreciated. The scsi card is a Adaptec 2930CU To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe aic7xxx" in the body of the message
