Content-Type: text Sender: owner-hackers@FreeBSD.ORG X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I reported this problem at 2.1, and I've gotten it again when installing 2.1.5 on the same machine. After the install does the dislable, it begins to do the newfs on the root partition, I get: panic: ffs_valloc: dup alloc which, of course, doesn't get anything installed :-) I think it has something to do with the 8192 block size, if I alter this parameter, things work out better. Also, judicious selection of the cyl/h/sector sizes seem to repair the problem as well... - Dave Rivers -
