Hmm... the 450NZ based chipsets sounds a like a good start for doing
giga ethernet card / networking research 8)

I would probably opt for a  agp port solution for starters I already have a 
system which supports
it so it would mean getting a barebones systems plus the cost of the 
ethercards.
 Pity that most systems come with only one AGP port :(
