[moved to questions] [Snipped story about PPP staying up for days at a time until a change at the ISP that uses PAP authentication, after which PPP hangs up routinely.] I have experienced the idential situation here, with an older release of FreeBSD (2.1.5-R). I (incorrectly?) blamed the situation on my infinitely competent ISP. I'm curious to know what's happening, but don't consider the problem to be much in the way of a crisis. -- Matt Curtin cmcurtin@interhack.net http://www.interhack.net/people/cmcurtin/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
