IMHO threads-safe versions of gethostby* are very important. getaddrinfo is already threads-safe. Do you plan to do this yourself ? And if so, before 5.1/5.2 ? What about the nsscache implemenation we talked once ? I guess with the work you have done this is a lot easier, right ?
