They fail (register dump) even before identifying themselves. The kernel from the CD is fine. As this was a new install, I just reloaded the release from CD. Still no joy. Here's exactly what I did: From the install menu, selected express/autopartition/load all software. Reboot & login as root. % cd /sys/i386/conf % config GENERIC % cd ../../compile/GENERIC % make depend all install && reboot System won't boot. Suggestions? Thanks.
