> > On a similar note, we should also strip all the binaries we ship. okay. lurker here. i wrote "vile/xvile", which i _think_ (i can't get to ftp.cdrom.com right now to check) are in the "current" tree. i actually don't know if i'm the official "maintainer" or not. i may well be. but, since i don't know where or how to check on "my" makefiles (someone else finished off the port and the commit), i don't know how to check on or fix either this or the manpage issue. i notice that vile is not in the list of unstripped binaries satoshi included. my original makefile didn't do any stripping, unless "/usr/bin/install -c" does it for me, which i somehow doubt. so, either a) vile is not in /usr/local/bin at all, b) someone added a "strip" line to the makefile already, c) i'm even more confused than i thought i was, or d) more than one of the above. paul --------------------- paul fox, pgf@foxharp.boston.ma.us (arlington, ma)
