When trying a Logitech mouse connected directly to the PC, we used the following settings and it worked: Logitech /dev/psm0 However, connected through the KVM, it doesn't work. Changing the question, does anyone know how to make a KVM-connected mouse setup work on FreeBSD? Thank you, David Gordon P.S. Please CC to my email, thank you. -----Original Message----- From: Christopher Farley To: David Gordon (LMC) Cc: 'freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG'; Ibrahim Haddad (LMC) Sent: 2001-08-06 6:09 PM Subject: Re: X server mouse David Gordon (LMC) (David.Gordon@ericsson.ca) wrote: > The mouse is a Compaq PS/2 mouse and the device psm0 is active. Whenever I install a FreeBSD workstation, I almost always have a bit of trouble getting the mouse to work. It's just a bit more complicated than it need be; valid configurations exist with moused running, and without, by using /dev/sysmouse, and by using /dev/psm0 (even if the mouse shows up as ums0!). The one constant, however, is that I *always* use 'type auto' in mouse configs. -- Christopher Farley www.northernbrewer.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
