https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=196066 Bug ID: 196066 Summary: Add devel/git-lite as light-weight version of devel/git without any bindings Product: Ports Tree Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: wxs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: chrissicool@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(wxs@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: wxs@FreeBSD.org I run a pkg-only version of FreeBSD 10 as a jail-host. Some custom software on the host needs to be fetched via git, though. Installing devel/git leads to a bunch of Perl and Python dependencies, that are unnecessary for a minimal git that just fetches some software. I propose a -lite version of the devel/git package, much in the same way as other packages do (e.g. vim). The new package has minimal dependencies and can be used as pure git client. Let me know what you think of the idea. --- Comment #1 from Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> --- Auto-assigned to maintainer wxs@FreeBSD.org -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
