I have my CDROM listed as acd0(you may have mistyped it in your email a few times, adc0?). It corresponds to /dev/wcd0c. In /etc/fstab you'll find that it is symlinked to /cdrom. To mount it you do mount /cdrom. When it says hit a key or boot, hit a key. Then do boot -c and see if you can disable your CDROM and then boot.
