I wound up using Linux on my laptop (Fujitsu LifeBook C5130) precisely
because I couldn't get the X servers to work with this chipset.

I've heard rumors that XFree86 is putting support in, but I haven't
heard anything beyond that.

I'd love to get Linux off this thing (feel like I'm walking on
eggshells with ext2fs), so if *anyone* has had any luck with this
chipset, I'd love to hear about it.

I'm currently running the Linux framebuffer X server.
