I wound up using Linux on my laptop (Fujitsu LifeBook C5130) precisely because I couldn't get the X servers to work with this chipset. I've heard rumors that XFree86 is putting support in, but I haven't heard anything beyond that. I'd love to get Linux off this thing (feel like I'm walking on eggshells with ext2fs), so if *anyone* has had any luck with this chipset, I'd love to hear about it. I'm currently running the Linux framebuffer X server. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ted Faber faber@isi.edu USC/ISI Computer Scientist http://www.isi.edu/~faber (310) 822-1511 x190 PGP Keys: http://www.isi.edu/~faber/pubkeys.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 5.0i for non-commercial use Charset: noconv iQA/AwUBOCmcWGlM93/mX/l7EQIXWACglq7tLEHBpHCU8glRWXH4E/X6ytEAn1L9 yMaD42Mnc8UfpJTw3ZP3eAEP =3dGc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
