Well, this is a little bit off topic for this list. You might try a Linux mailing list. But.. Yes, Linux is like UNIX. Unlike FreeBSD however, Linux is a clone that was written from scratch so really has no legal or historical right to be called UNIX. In general however, Linux looks, and behaves like UNIX, but has it's own little quirks like all other versions of UNIX.
