No problem piping sound through it from any of the input lines, but playback of digital sound locks up every so often, usually after a couple of messages like: pcm0: play interrupt timeout, channel dead The latter behavior seems to be new. I've given up on the 4dwave. Cards that are documented as working properly for both record and playback (the ES1370 based cards, for instance) are sufficiently cheap on pricewatch ($15 for the Creative Labs ES1370/1 clone) that I just ordered a new sound card.
