Mention them. Why omit them, perhaps because you have trouble finding them ? Who have I ill-treated ? Where is this bad-reputation ? Am I single-handedly responsible for it ? Or do I work in a team ? So the mail or two I get off list thanking me for not saying RTFM are from my misguided people who don't see me for the evil being I am ? > > Btw .. RTFM of course, not being a "classic form of ridicule", but quite acceptable here is it ? > > I don't know what you could have been thinking when you said that it > "was not ridicule". Maybe it was an example for us to consider when > reading your advice about "engaging your brain". What I was thinking of was that "it was not ridicule". As in "it was not ridicule"..."C'est pas ridicule" ..errm... > > Blast away. I can only hope you'll be more careful in future threads More careful, like you ? What sensibilities of mine have you just trodden on ? Or perhaps since you choose this forum to attack my character perhaps I should say "what sensibilities of mine have you just trodden in", like dog-shit on the path ? Did you happen to notice by the way that the person *you* referred to as a newbie, did not take very kindly to *you* referring to him that way ? I did not regard him as a newbie. I was trying to point out the momentual task he was trying to ask someone else to perform. The content part of my email of course does not fit into your sanctimonious world view, so you ignore it. > and I'll try to not make a pest of myself by not complaining about such > things often. (It's a social duty of others to take their turn anyway.) Oh go ahead make a pest of yourself...you have just dug yourself into this hole, may as well complete the job. People who talk about "social duty" in the way you do are ususally people with their heads so far up their own arseholes that they loose sight of the wood in order to air their sad little grievances at some tree they just bumped into. Now you can ridicule me for that rather stretched metaphor :) Anyway, what was the question again ? -- Regards Cliff To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
