well i am using a 28.8 modem and started to do it but NO WAY.... it would take days to download it. I dont think my isp would even let me stay connected that long. I just decided to purchase the cdroms from cdrom.com. its easyier and faster plus i have it on cdrom if i need it, although it costs a bit more its worth it. > you may use the binary upgrade option of sysinstall > and it is very easy to use... > first write down your /etc/fstab file > second download the 3.1R floppies and then boot with them > and then select `upgrade' option when you come to sysinstall > utility. > Evren > > > On Sun, 28 Feb 1999 root@www.timandpatrick.com wrote: > > > i cvsupped to releng_3 -stable today from 2.2.8-stable > > and tried to make world but get a message similiar to this. > > > > /usr/src/lib/csu/i386-elf/crtbegin.c:30 section attributes > > are not supported for this target > > > > {standard input} assembler messages > > {standard input} :73 Error unknown pdeudo-op ".section" > > > > error code 1 > > > > stop > > > > is there any other way to upgrade to releng_3 > > from 2.2.8 without reinstalling everything? > > > > > > > > > > > > ---------------------------------- > > E-Mail: root@www.timandpatrick.com > > Date: 28-Feb-99 > > Time: 09:54:16 > > > > This message was sent by XFMail > > ---------------------------------- > > > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
