System: HP KAYAK XA, BX M/b, P-II 400, 64Mb, 1x4G on 1st IDE, CD-ROM on second
IDE, matrox G200 AGP, 3-button+roller PS/2 intellimouse, funny HP keyboard
(ps2-style connector), 3c905b, funny HP-supplied AZTECH ISA PnP soundcard that
I can't quite get working.
I have softupdates enabled in the kernel but not on the filesystems. I can
cause the panic by enabling them on /usr/src, cd'ing to /usr/src/games, typing
make, then alt-Fn around a bit. Usually fails within 20 seconds. Often, I
can't get it to panic, and then fsck often finds 'unexpected softupdates
inconsistency'and I get a fair amount of disk damage. Hence I'm not too keen
to play with this too much!
Disk has a slice from FreeBSD and a slice as yet unused.
