Followup:

That patch doesn't change the corruption I was seeing in a 2D environment
(blackbox).  Going into x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel and chaning
src/i965_render.c around a bit helped.  Turns out gen7_composite_wm_state
still tries to configure too many threads.  Changing the ps_max_threads
to 42 from 86 eliminated the corruption I saw with blackbox.  But there
are still lots of artifacts with video.
