I have the dreaded Intel i810 VGA (on board) on an HP Brio. My mouse is the equiv of 3-button (middle scroll button), more like a Logitech. After running xf86config, my X wouldn't start! It complains about some sections. First I got this error: Fatal server error: xf86OpenConsole: Server must be running with root permissions You should be using Xwrapper to start the server or xdm. We strongly advise against making the server SUID root! I did install Xwrapper (I guess I need to configure it??)...life used to be easy with 3.3.6 but it is said it doesn't support i810 and money is scarce ;-)=20 Someone has posted the steps to run 4.0.3 which I don't seem to find???
