On the client side there is program pm-remote (MSDOS) which is some sort of mail gateway ( I know, it look stupid :-), but its a must) . It can talk to popper via terminal, but requires disabling echo so it doesn't catch its own input. I'm looking for the way to disable echo either during telnet session or while initializing terminal. The only way I succeeded was to send 3 times "^E" during telnet session, but it turned to change something in handling newlines so output starts to look like: pop server starting. password for user required: < blank from begining of line >OK I don't know what kind of chars are output but they prevent pmremote from detecting responses.
