Reply-To: Bill Sender: owner-bugs@FreeBSD.ORG X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk The following reply was made to PR misc/1515; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Bill To: "Jordan K. Hubbard" Cc: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@freebsd.org Subject: Re: misc/1515: Unable to install 2.1.5 from CD-ROM. Date: Mon, 19 Aug 1996 21:21:11 -0700 (PDT) It is a Mitsumi internal CD-ROM drive model FX001D, double speed; with an ISA interface card; using I/O port address 0x300 (default), IRQ 10 (default), and DRQ 5 (default) (although FreeBSD does not seem to reference the DRQ). The CD-ROM is found during the probe: mcd0: type Mitsumi FX001D, version info: D 2 mcd0 at 0x300-0x303 irq 10 on isa The CD-ROM disc is in the drive before the boot-up is started. This same drive and hardware configuration worked just fine when installing FreeBSD 2.1 from the Walnut Creek CD-ROM. I have made no hardware changes since then. Any help is greatly appreciates; I am eager to come up on 2.1.5. Thank you. - Bill. On Mon, 19 Aug 1996, Jordan K.
